International
politics are interesting, and we all tend to have very definite opinions on all
that is happening.
Like me,
many readers will be watching the war against Iran, closely. In fact, it has
spread to many Middle Eastern countries. In the long-ago past, war in the
middle east may not have affected most of the global community, however it now
affects everyone. We are about to travel to visit family for the Easter holiday
but must think carefully about the fuel situation.
There will
always be war. Unfortunately, it is not always about good and evil because in every
country there are both. In the war against Iran, I have no doubt that good and
decent people are dying, not just those who promote evil. As in the West, evil
often prevails and ‘good’ are persecuted.
Yet, the
Bible tells us that not one of us are good (Psalm 14:3, Romans 3:12); only God
is truly good. God, as a Holy God can not tolerate the sinfulness of man.
However, as a loving God, He made the way clear for all of us to be redeemed—if
we so choose.
Easter
Friday is tomorrow. This is the day that God’s son died an agonizing death; the
day that he took the weight of all the sins of the world on his shoulders and
experienced in that moment, separation from God. Scrolls of the day, not just
the Bible, record this so we know it really happened. When we believe in all he
did for us on the cross, when we repent and ask forgiveness for our sins, we
are assured of eternal life in paradise.
Jesus rose
from the grave, literally. There is evidence of over five hundred people seeing
Him after he had died on the cross. He has shown us that when we are saved by
Him, we too will live a resurrected life with Him in Heaven. Historical,
archeological, geographical evidence prove the Bible to be accurate. Scrolls
written back in Biblical days, prove the events really happened.
Salvation
and life eternal is available for everyone. You just have to ask for it.
